Christopher J. Steinbach, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Chris provides overall direction for Newberry Group and presides over the implementation of the corporate strategies, the implementation of best practices, and the profitable growth of the company. Chris’ previous position was as the Corporate Security Operations Executive for Virginia-based Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). During his seventeen year career at CSC, Chris was responsible for Corporate Information Security strategy and the go-to-market approach for the National Security Presidential Directive – NSPD 54, the Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative (CNCI). Additional positions at CSC included Vice President of Operations for CSC’s $1.3B Enforcement, Security & Intelligence (ESI) Division and Vice President of Global Security Solutions (GSS). Among his many achievements were the launching of a new solutions development and partner alliance organization for GSS, establishing CSC’s first security operations in India, and balancing the GSS service portfolio to better serve both U.S. Federal and Commercial/Global clientele. Chris holds both bachelors and masters degrees from Towson University in Maryland.

“There are two things that excite me every day - - Coaching, teaching, mentoring, and sharing what I have learned throughout my career with others; and deals. I love the challenge of constructing a truly win-win deal.”

R. Steven Cadogan, Senior Vice President, Intelligence and Security Programs

Steve provides the overall leadership and direction of the Intelligence business unit at Newberry Group. He manages the ISP team as a client-facing organization, delivering IT & Cyber Security technology and services to both the enabling and mission organizations within the Intelligence Community and other Federal Agencies supporting the Presidential Comprehensive National Cyber Security Initiative (CNCI). Steve has nearly thirty years of leadership and professional experience in the Intelligence Community and Public Sector at large. He spent fourteen of those years at CSC, culminating as the Director of CSC’s Global Security Solutions Federal Information Security Business Unit. He served honorably in the United States Air Force under the U.S. Space and Air Force Communication Commands where he was a below-the-zone selectee and a nominee for the Air Force’s Twelve Outstanding Airmen recognition program.

What is your professional passion?
“My professional passion is to build organizations and motivate teams and individuals to achieve the critical missions of our Federal clients in defending our nation and helping them achieve their goals and dreams in the process.”

Christopher J. Pugh, Executive Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer and Member, Newberry Board of Directors

As Chief Financial Officer, Chris is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of Newberry Group, as well as leading the activities of Newberry’s Accounting, Government Compliance, Contracts & Procurement and Pricing teams. Prior to joining Newberry, Chris was an independent government compliance and mergers and acquisitions consultant, and held senior level management positions at QinetiQ North America and Lockheed Martin Information Technology. Chris is a registered CPA, with a B.S. Degree in Accounting from Old Dominion University and completed Graduate-level coursework at New Hampshire State College.

What is your professional passion?
“What drives me is getting my team engaged on the front end of the sales cycle.  By working alongside our sales and technical teams, we help to develop cost effective solutions to overcome our customers’ most important and complex business challenges.  This team effort effectively transforms what is traditionally viewed as back office support functions – contracts administration, finance, accounting – into an integral extension of our client facing organizations.”

Phillip Justice, Vice President, Cyber Security & Information Technology

Phil is the Executive Director of Cyber Security and Information Technology and leads the Newberry Cyber Security Practice (CSP), and Information Technology teams, as well as their associated partners. With twenty-five years of experience in IT and Cyber Security , Phil brings valuable insight and leadership to Newberry’s security and IT solutions. Most recently, Phil served as Director and Chief Technology Officer of Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC’s) Global Security Solutions (GSS) organization. He is fully cleared within the Intelligence Community and is a Certified Program Management Professional (PMP) and Federal IT Security Professional (FITSP-M). Phil earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix, and served in the United States Navy under the U. S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command where he received several citations and awards.

What is your professional passion?
“This is a two staged response… First, I take great pleasure in helping to solve complex problems for our clients leveraging strong solutions from our technology partners coupled with the applied subject matter expertise from our internal teams. Secondly, I appreciate being in a position where I have some influence in helping to make our company the best it can be for our employee owners.”

Brinda Beasley, Executive Director, Human Resources and Support Services

Brinda is responsible for managing Newberry’s Human Resources and Marketing/Communications teams that support our clients and employees. With over twenty years of professional experience, her expertise includes strategic planning and executive level management of multiple teams across the U.S., as well as managing international recruiting and administrative teams in both technical and non-technical environments. Brinda holds her SPHR and has earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Lindenwood University, a B.S. Degree in Management, along with an Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting Technology.

Traci Porter, Executive Director, Defense and Civil Programs

As the of Executive Director of Defense & Civil Programs, Ms. Porter provides strategic and developmental direction which encompasses all Defense and Civil programs within the Federal sector. She ensures that her organization meets the overall organization goals and objective and the core functions of the organization. She provides oversight to the overall operational management of her organization and monitors the overall quality of services. With over twenty-five years of experience in information technology and security in the both the private and federal sector, Traci has been a long-time employee of Newberry Group. She has been working with Newberry since its inception in 1996. Prior to her current Directorship, she served as Program Manager with oversight of Certification & Accreditation projects. Traci holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration Management Science.

What is your professional passion?
“My professional passion means that I go all out to realize the dreams and aspirations of my company and the clients we serve. I do not care much about the glorification of my professional successes as much as I do about the connection I feel with my work. I am always thinking about the business at hand and how best I can perform with greater proficiency and productivity. My drive is to get the job. I refuse to retreat or turn back at any point in my day. This is what differentiates passionate professionals from those who only claim to be highly motivated.”

Tony Hausmann, Executive Director, Business Development

Tony is the Executive Director of Business Development and leads the Capture and Proposal teams in providing market positioning, penetration, and response in support of Newberry’s strategic business units.  With over twenty years of consultative sales experience in information technology and training solutions to the private and federal sectors, Tony brings both client-facing and operational sales expertise to the Newberry team and its channel partner relationships. Tony was most recently the Market Director for TechSkills St. Louis and the National Sales Manager for WORDLINK, both nationally recognized information technology training and consulting firms.
