Brenda D. Newberry founded The Newberry Group, Inc. in August 1996 following a prestigious career spanning over 20 years in network and systems software. Today, The Newberry Group is a global IT consultancy with more than 135 employees. The company has distinguished itself as a leading technology services firm by providing the technical competence and the proven capacity and capability to meet the needs of a wide variety of clients.

Brenda’s career in information technology began in the U.S. Air Force. She served for six years, and was selected from a field of 570,000 candidates as one of twelve outstanding airmen representing the U.S. Air Force in Europe in 1978. Before starting her own company, she worked with a St. Louis-based defense contractor, then with a major credit card company. Brenda advanced to Vice President and was a successful international executive responsible for the global growth of a profit and loss business unit providing imaging technology worldwide.

Brenda holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business Management. She served as an associate professor at Washington University in St. Louis from 1987-2007, conducting undergraduate and graduate level courses in operating systems and network communications. She is also a member of the Washington University National Council for the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Brenda has received numerous awards, including:
