Diego has more than 20 years of government and private sector Information Technology experience. He has extensive experience in managing, designing, and implementing computer and internetworking technologies for major commercial organizations and the federal government.
At Newberry, Diego is responsible for growth in the government sector. He provides high-level program management expertise and corporate coordination in order to enhance and expand the company’s Government Technology Group.
He also supplies strategic direction and leads day-to-day supervision of business development, operations, project management and program management, focusing on forecasting, schedule adherence, on-time delivery and program financial analysis of active contracts and task orders for government contracts from inception through closeout.
As a member of Newberry’s leadership team, Diego develops and executes short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on broad corporate goals, acquisitions, strategic planning, and growth objectives.
Before joining Newberry, Diego served as a Senior Security Consultant at IBM in the company’s Business Consulting Services, Security and Privacy Practice. He provided Information Technology consulting services with a special emphasis on information systems security, public key infrastructure (PKI), and privacy.
His career in Information Technology began at the U.S. Department of the Navy. He later served at the U.S. Department of Agriculture before moving to the U.S. Department of Justice, where he rose to the position of Acting Assistant Director of the department’s Information Services Division.
Diego serves on the Crider Health Center Board of Directors.
